Relationship/ Couples Counselling
Couples counselling can help couples who are experiencing difficulties in their relationship.
It might be that you find you are either arguing or bickering a lot of the time, or perhaps you are finding it hard to say just how you feel. Sometimes different stages of your relationship can bring extra pressure:
- starting to live together
- marriage or civil partnership
- birth and parenting difficulties
- money problems or redundancy
- affairs or infidelity
- sexual issues
- pressure of life in the armed forces
- growing apart
- step-families or extended families
- retirement and older age
This pressure can lead to tension or unhappiness in a relationship, and couples counselling can help you both to start to explore and understand the emotional impact of this and also improve communication between you.
I will be working hard to understand how life is for each of you, without blaming or judging either of you or taking sides. I won't be analysing you or asking you to talk about anything you don't want to talk about.
I hope that you will both begin to gain clarity in your relationship and perhaps to find answers or make decisions or changes in your relationship if that is what you decide.
I can offer individual counselling on relationship issues if your partner does not want to come for couples counselling. Please click on the "Individual Counselling" link near the top of this page.
Please get in touch if you would like to ask any questions (without obligation) about the counselling that I offer. I will do my best to answer any queries you may have or explain any aspect of how I work.
